What is Microcurrent Neurofeedback

Micocurrent Neurofeedback utilizes small sensors that detect and monitor brainwaves, sending the resulting electronic signals to a computer and EEG processor. The computer returns a tiny signal that is virtually a mirror image of the brain's own waves. The microcurrent produces a fluctuation in the brainwaves that allows the gentle, effortless release of fixed, frozen patterns.

When you arrive, we will gather information. Plan on your first visit lasting approximately 1 hour with additional sessions lasting 30 minutes. Your provider will clean certain areas on your head, forehead, and neck. Then they will apply a paste to adhere small sensors to these sites. We encourage our clients to sit quietly and relax during sessions. 24 hours after each session you will be asked to complete an observation form. This will help guide your next treatment.

What makes microcurrent neurofeedback unique?

Microcurrent neurofeedback is different from traditional neurofeedback in that you receive micro stimulation versus feedback, the treatments disentrain versus trains the brain, and MCN is a passive therapy versus active.

Is MCN safe?

Yes, it is safe for clients of all ages, including pregnant women and infants. The transmitting signals are at 3 picowatts of power, 3 trillionths of a watt, and 1/100th of a cell phone.

Various studies of the brain have shown people who tend to suffer from anxiety, PTSD, depression and other neurological conditions have shown high levels of delta wave activity.

The IASIS microcurrent neurofeedback system has proven to reduce or eliminate high levels of Delta wave activity.

Microcurrent neurofeedback brings balance to the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems increasing the oscillation rate of the brain's delta waves so that the body can rest, digest, and process at an optimal level.

Does it interfere with medication?

No, microcurrent neurofeedback does not alter the effects of medication. We recommend that medications be managed by your physician.
